This collaboration is a celebration of women: powerful, strong, resourceful and determined. Thousands of generations of women have guided and supported each other on Country since millennia and have birthed and nurtured centuries of people into existence.

The story telling and symbols used in this contemporary art stamp set does not represent all First Nations cultural groups or people, if in doubt always check within your community.

Artwork: "Songlines"

Meaning: This artwork is about Songlines that carry our Law and stories. Our Songlines have been passed from elder to elder for thousands of years. They trace astronomy and geographical elements from ancient stories, and describe how the landscape was shaped as it is now. Songlines are a form of communication across the continent and a way of mapping Country, connecting our communities and following ancient boundaries.
